  3. To nie jest reklama ani toot sponsorowany.

    Właśnie przelałem 12 euro na obsługę Posteo na kolejny rok.

    Jest to najlepsza skrzynka pocztowa z jakiej korzystałem. Absolutnie bezproblemowa (w trakcie roku zanotowałem raptem raz downtime), praktycznie bezobsługowa.

    Prywatność out of box, możliwość wyłączenia folderu ze spamem.

  5. I finally decided to move to Posteo (posteo.de/en) and MTMedia (mtmedia.org/)

    I didn't choose Proton because they have implemented an AI writing assistant, and I received a warning that they share their clients' account data.

  6. I am looking for an Email Provider that isn’t based in the US (so not Nadir or Riseup) and that is not owned by big tech companies. After some research (european-alternatives.eu/alternative-to/gmail), I have found two options:
    * Posteo
    * Proton
    Has anyone used either of these? I would love to hear your thoughts on which is better and why. If you have any other recommendations, please feel free to share them!

  7. Anyone out there using #Tutanota for email? I'm thinking of using it, would like to hear good or bad experiences, or if you know of a reliable alternative with good privacy and ideally more environmentally-friendly. 💌

    Edit: just heard of #Posteo which seems a more environmentally-friendly alternative. Any feedback on that?

    Edit 2: actually Tutanota is also env-friendly, e.g. their servers run on renewable energy: tuta.com/sustainability

  8. Yeah! I sent my monthly newsletter yesterday. It contains the dates of the next workshops (and yeah, I already stripped the text out of any links as well of "adult" words as this already happened before etc), and some concerts and film screenings.

    Some email providers are blocking it (and blacklisting my email address) based on the content. The recipients are not even aware that the email was blocked, so maybe they are not getting other emails with similar keywords in the text.

    Am I the only one seeing that this is highly problematic and that it transcends "user/consumer preferences"?

    Imagine Deutsche Post deciding not to deliver you some letters based on whatever their impression of acceptable content is?

    what can be done about this? either for the specific situation and at a major scale perspective?

    we speak about content filtering in instagram etc, but these are email providers.

  12. Heya fediverse, I am currently looking for an #emailprovider and would love to hear recommendations:

    - In #Europe, (not just the datacenter)
    - Allows unlimited or a very large set of inboxes/wildcard forwards
    - I can use my custom domain
    - reasonable price (hard to gauge, but I don’t think it should cost more than 70 a year for the above?)

    Feel free to send referral links or so!

    Please boost! Maybe others are also looking and could find this.

  13. Looking to move away from Gmail and my own email server. What are good options? It can be paid or free. Preferable with an IMAP option as well. Bonus if the email domain is easy to spell in English :) My own domains are not. #email #emailprovider #suggestions
