The Caravan Of Forgotten Dreams (nèe The Flame Bringers) was.... bland? It has only elements that the previous stories had, very little new. It is very blatantly just Elric stopping the Mongol horde. Seeing the cat-lord was nice, but other then that.. meh

When he was Crown Prince and had the best alchemy labs and could have ANYTHING imported he spent a huge amount of time working on stimulant mixtures which would let him function normally, with limited success. He was able to function much better with the drugs he made, but he was still weak and sickly.
Why does he think now as a wanderer with less access to a lab and reagents he'll have significantly better success?

It's plot is nothing special, be it has Elric instantly falling in love with and fucking a SEVENTEEN year old, Moonglum is back, it manages to hit so many racist and anti-disability tropes, and the ending doesn't even make sense. and the ending doesn't even make sense.

The Stealer of Souls is... not bad. It does a good job of showing Elric wandering, not really knowing what to do with himself so he's growing trouble for the sake of it. Stealing large amounts of treasure, and then abandoning it because he doesn't actually care for money, and leaving death (Even deaths which pain him) and chaos in his wake.
It introduces Moonglum however, which, bleh. He is such a nothing of a character so far.

Working my way through this Elric collection. Some of these stories I've read before, most I have not.
The Dreaming City is a good introduction to the character and Melniboné. Holds up quite well.

It’s non-licensed, but if I had to run an Elric game *right away*, I’d probably go with Black Sword Hack - Ultimate Chaos Edition. Very evocative and I love that it’s published under a Creative Commons license. (Wish they would sell the PDF at DriveThruRPG, though…)

The actual publication date is doubtless a looong way off, but I’m looking forward to the upcoming new Elric RPGs. The Dungeon Crawl Classics version is the one I’ll actually buy, but I’d happily play the Dragonbane one if someone were to run it for me.
I’ve run more campaigns set in Elric’s Young Kingdoms than any other fictional setting, across Chaosium’s Elric! RPG and the Mongoose Runequest II/Legend systems.

The ancient symbol of Chaos is not represented in Unicode and that makes me mad.
Yes, for the symbol of Law We have ↑, but there is no symbol in which eight arrows all point from a common origin, each at one of the cardinal or intercardinal compass directions.
The best we have is ☸ but it's not made of arrows, is too circley, and is already taken by some stupid supposedly """ancient""" religion.
