@b_fung his predictable and consistent behavior with "polls" he runs has been to have made the decision well before actually making the poll so as to make it seem like he's going by people's will. We've seen this before where he'd already filed documents or started selling stocks days before setting up a poll. I don't see how this "poll" is any different. 🙄

@Hypx what baffles me with some BEV enthusiasts is how they promote BEV's as the *only* solution and dismiss everything else violently. It's akin to monotheistic religious fanatics, suggesting a solution is the one and only true solution, when the problem actually requires a suite of solutions across the entire value chain. I attribute this to statements melon husk has made over the years to promote his own interest.

For the record, although I have never met the man, I do not believe Elon Musk to be a turd. I think it is clear from his behavior that he is at least two—perhaps even three—times smarter than a turd.

Before he got involved, Tesla was pursuing hydrogen, which auto execs, scientists/ecologists/economists/political scientists, et al. have known is the future of clean energy.
He has set mankind back by decades, creating demand for technology that is more toxic than ICE's in the long run.

I've gotten in more detail elsewhere, but:
Tesla: before he got involved, Tesla was pursuing hydrogen. Auto execs, scientists, ecologists, economists, et al. all know that is the future of energy.
SpaceX: he himself has admitted the "recycling" end up costing just as much as traditional rockets financially/ecologically, all at the risk of astronaut safety. He's admitted he wouldn't get on one of his own.
Twitter: we're seeing how that's panning out.

His behavior has been consistent with that, yet the media helped dismiss it as the "quirks" or the secret sauce to his "success," blinded by his ill begotten wealth and "charisma."

Another area where melon husk led mankind astray is in zero emission vehicles. Before he bought his way in, Tesla founders were seriously examining hydrogen.
KPMG have been conducting auto industry executive surveys for decades, and for years, majority have known hydrogen is the future.
We've lost at least ten years of progress in hydrogen because of melon husk. Imagine where we'd be by now, especially in light of Russia.
