There's a meme that's been making the rounds for a few years now, popping up every now and again, that "Alien is a movie where nobody listens to the smart woman" and that therefore the only survivors are the smart woman and her cat.

Now, it's just a silly meme and I don't want to ruin anyone's fun so never reply when I see it posted, but let me state, just this once and for the record that, that no, that's _not_ what Alien is.
