Stealing cultural heritage is a crime against humanity. The stories of these bad actors and their quests for power through looting, destroying provenance and archeological contexts are my favorite “real crime” tales. Seems like a corollary to war. I just ordered this book from my neighborhood bookstore, the Secret Garden in Ballard realease June 2.

#Elitism has a very different meaning in Scandyland. Here we pay no tuition in #highered and everybody gets strongly subsidised student loans. We don't know what "trust fund" means. Nobody puts their kids through college -- the State does.
So here, if you have no uni degree, it's pretty much because either a) you don't have that kind of talent profile, b) *you opted out of readily available higher education*.
