  1. CW: Epstein Files: why Epstein's friends hate Yudkowsky

I mean jeez, this is fucking #Deathism.

No wonder these people hate #EliezerYudkowsky if they literally want Global Warming to kill people. His casual Libertarian / Socialist musings are literally the antithesis of this racist sexist pro-death fascist idiocy, and he's literally spent the last 10 years screaming "don't let these people run society."

In fact the fact that the people he was associating with here are so fundamentally at odds with #Yudkowsky speaks VOLUMES about his character, in ways that are making me reassess my issues with him: I'd take an entire #LessWrong worth of rambling Yudkowsky fans over Joscha Bach's brand of fascist deathism any day.

  2. This is (again) mind-blowing:

Spawn a virtual #EliezerYudkowsky inside #ChatGPT who acts as a firewall filtering malicious prompts for ChatGPT itself, then test it trying to circumvent normal precautions by wrapping/disguising malicious prompts as narration, shell commands and the like (and it seems to work fine).

  3. Following logically from that ...
"Oh, and it goes without saying that if the people of Group X are staring at you demandingly, waiting for you to hate the right enemies with the right intensity, and ready to castigate you if you fail to castigate loudly enough, you may be hanging around the wrong group ... Forgive your friends if some of them suggest that maybe Group X wasn't so awful after all..."

  4. "Similarly, if you wanted to ensure that a group of "rationalists" never accomplished any task requiring more than one person, you could teach them only techniques of individual rationality, without mentioning anything about techniques of coordinated group rationality."

  5. "I can think of ways to sabotage someone's intelligence by selectively teaching them certain methods of rationality. Suppose you taught someone a long list of logical fallacies and cognitive biases, and trained them to spot those fallacies in biases in other people's arguments ... And you do not warn them to scrutinize arguments they agree with just as hard as they scrutinize incongruent arguments for flaws."
