I had missed another #AndyBurnham u-turn: The return of the #ParthenonSculptures, aka the #ElginMarbles.
Mayor #Burnham was all in favour of returning the stolen sculptures to Greece. But Prime Minister Burnham? Not so much.
Andy now says that the law makes it a matter for the #BritishMuseum. If only Andy had the power to change the law, eh?

I'm Matthew! I'm an architect who assists with campaigns for return of the Parthenon Sculptures (AKA Elgin Marbles) to Greece - but my interest extends to all forms of cultural property disputes & looting of ancient artefacts - plus a fair bit of ancient Greek history too.
