#elephantintheroom — Public Fediverse posts

🕵️‍♂️🐘 Oh, look! Another article pretending to be "insightful" about US #nonprofits, as if nobody ever noticed the glaring $3 trillion elephant in the room. 🎩🎭 But fear not, dear readers, a brave soul has processed millions of #IRS 990 forms, and guess what? They discovered that 3 trillion is a bigger number than everyone thinks! #Groundbreaking stuff! 🌟📊

#ElephantInTheRoom

#elephantInTheRoom: The only reason this doesn't happen, and why it keeps running despite the massive losses, is not technical: the USA regime and the pushers of this scam need each other.

Thank you Bamberg
#DSpacePT25 was remarkable. The local team from #UBBamberg & more, Pascal Becker and his @thelibrarycode team and the beautiful #weltkulturerbe #Bamberg provided a perfect environment.
And I absolutely loved that the #elephantintheroom (merge #DSpaceCRIS to #DSpace?) was adressed #Atmire @4Science @thelibrarycode @unzeit
Thank you Holger for flying in and moderating the discussion.

I am going to open a bakery.

My bakery will take over half the known world.

#Distancing 6 feet may not be precise but we know the closer you are to someone #breathing out #covid, the more likely you are to catch it. Thus wearing a #FFP3 #FFP2 #N95 #mask is helpful in #transmission #prevention.
The #ElephantInTheRoom is that we're all dependent on #Covid19 #positive people staying home. This isn't happening either because they don't care or can't #afford to.
#Vaccination helps if you can afford it (#free in #USA but not generally in #UK)

So we've always been warned #gaming has lots of negatives.
In the final analysis it appears to really only benefit the corporations selling them.

@DTJackson The #ElephantInTheRoom.

There is lots to do to prepare for live performances. Ya gotta have arrangements and charts written, set lists put together and rehearsal spaces booked. Right at the top of the list is promo - the essential task of making sure everyone, everywhere knows the wheres and whens of the shows.

So here goes. Looking forward to seeing you in August.

@billyanders yes- the #elephantintheroom! Thanks so much for naming this!
"Most bodies of culture acquire this ability when they’re young. We have to, because it’s so closely tied to our survival. ...
In contrast, most white American bodies... simply haven’t had the collective desire to learn to work with the spring-loaded energies of race. ...
Unfortunately, as a result, racialized trauma stays stuck inside their bodies day after day, year upon year..."
LET'S LEARN THIS!

Balenciaga is apparently trying to reinvent itself by regurgitating its own brand history. A bit obvious, no?
