So I make no money from this, just a super solid recommendation..

I got this printer a while back and very happy with it. Its bigger than a standard one and in the top 10 for speed. Also does not require any internet to print or getting locked down like bambu.

If you need a new printer or wanna jump in at upper level, ya cant beat this price, performance, size or openness.

My auto generated 3D resin cases are getting good.

Two tier top (i.e. with bump), and really quite good at making a clean mating pair of sides.

In other news my workflow for the Elegoo resin printer means I can manage not to get sticky or need gloves...

My resin printer is, once again, just-working. Yay.

The hours I spent clearing the z-axis motor have paid off.

It does, however, help if you don't print a PCB case 0.5mm too small on one axis. FFS.

Yay, fixed that and it fits.

One of my criteria when I bought this printer was offline capability as I saw where #Bambu was going.

I made sure there was a usb interface and I was pleasantly surprised my #elegoo #neptune had web services and I can control it just fine with no internet. Which was my original point. So..bonus.

I'm looking for an easy to use beginner friendly, not much tinkering #3dprinting and came across the #elegoo #centauricarbon2.

A blunt advice for #3DPrinting:

If you want to diy, look into #Voron designs, RatRig, ProForge 300 and others.

HOWEVER if you just want a printer that works, from a company that won't fuck you over, buy a #Prusa. Period. Their attempts at OSI-non-compliant licenses are a piss in the ocean compared to what #BambuLab, #Creality, #FlashForge, #Elegoo, #Anycubic and even #Sovol have been done or are still doing (to be fair, with Sovol it's mostly trashy customer support).

Druk 3D to taki przywilej! Kupiłem sobie nowy mieszek oraz gałkę zmiany biegów do mojego #subaru. Ani jedno, ani drugie nie pasowało. Ale wymyśliłem, że mogę zbudować adapter nakręcany na drążek, do którego przykręcę zarówno mieszek, jak i gałkę. Trochę dłubania z Claude, zabawy z pomiarami, doborem parametrów wydruku i udało się pożenić ze sobą te dwa elementy. Bez drukarki 3D kompletnie nie byłbym w stanie założyć ani jednego, ani drugiego

3. Elegoo Centauri Carbon (2)

Carbon can be used with Orca, Carbon 2 requires their slicer which is available only for macos and windows.

There were attempts to get Carbon 2 into Orca but that's huge set of changes as it looks like more stuff is done on a host instead of on the printer.

4. No idea yet

Have to take a look at any other options. Or revive my x86-64 desktop and abandon aarch64 desktop after less than a year of use.

The issue with my Elegoo Ultra 16K is back, and I have tracked down to Z-axis judder (i.e. stepper motor skipping), which seemed to happen every time it changes direction.

Stripped down and greased and run up/down hundreds of times, and seems to maybe have cleared.

Now for a test print

Owing to my shadows of brimstone addiction, I decided to try making another token box using my 3-D printer. This one came out a lot better and I like the shape, plus the lid. It took around six hours to print in water washable resin, but I could have done it faster. If I wasn’t such a perfectionist who needed 0.05 mm layers.🤣

Owing to my shadows of brimstone addiction, I decided to try making another token box using my 3-D printer. This one came out a lot better and I like the shape, plus the lid. It took around six hours to print in water washable resin, but I could have done it faster. If I wasn’t such a perfectionist who needed 0.05 mm layers.🤣
My printer is a Mars 3 Pro. Hoping it lasts forever as I don’t like the newer models at all. Too many “bells and whistles” on them for my liking.
