Snagged this capture from the #GlobalTV broadcast this morning. It does a good job of showing the latest #ElectionsBC results in the close-race ridings with votes yet to be counted (as of 4pm Saturday).
It sounds like no more results will be available until Monday, with results released hourly. So, enjoy your #SilentSunday. 🙂

Close to 1/3 of all BC registered voters have voted early. I hope the rest vote today.
BC transit is free today and you can vote at any polling station. (As far as I can tell TransLink is not free today.)

Reminder for people voting today: you can vote at any polling place in BC. If voting outside your riding and if you don't know the name of your preferred candidate, you can write in the name of the party leader and party. Example: David Eby, NDP

Fellow #BritishColumbians - #PleaseVote - today & tomorrow are the last voting days!
Promises have been made, platforms have been released and debates have been had—now it’s time for BC to vote for their next provincial government.
In an effort to make things easier for undecided voters in #GreaterVictoria, here is a breakdown of all the candidates in the region, what they stand for and what their experience is that will help them best represent the people who vote them into power.

🍁Fellow citizens of BC - #PleaseVote in advance or on #BCElection2024 day.✌️
[ The first day of advance voting in the British Columbia election saw a record turnout, officials say.
Elections B.C. says 171,381 voters cast their ballots at advance polls on Thursday, surpassing a previous record of 126,491 voters in the 2017 election. ]

The #BCGreenParty made the first big splash of the 2024 provincial #election campaign with a major commitment to expand #PublicTransit, including a promise of “free public transit, province-wide” that has been widely criticized as being too costly.
While shifting to #FreeTransit for everyone, everywhere could be fiscally and logistically challenging in the short run, BC needs bold solutions to address the congestion clogging up our cities, shrink our societal dependence on cars and improve affordability of #transportation.
Free transit would need to be combined with major transportation investments to bolster local #transit systems and interconnect them across the province, as recommended in our recent #ConnectingBC report. In that report we call for doubling the number of buses in BC within five years and tripling within 10 (both of which are echoed in the #GreenParty platform), in addition to new #rail and #ferry infrastructure and expansion of free transit.
