A very bad graph, almost meaningless. Starting a paragraph with ‘By any metrics’ must be backed up, here it certainly is not. If there is any causality between GDP and Budget Balances, it is minimal at best and other factors affect GDP more directly (mineral ores exports for one). Also, the post 2025 projections are baseless. Not far off being classed as ‘misinformation’. It might have helped if the source of this graph was stated and a link to the original piece provided.Postings about our economy is a great thing to do. We need to be informed in order to make the right decision in #Elections2025 . But we must all make sure to post meaningful and accurate information (as best we can). We owe ourselves that much.
Keep posting Stanley, really do, just be careful about what you disseminate. I apologise if I offend because it is not (nor will it ever be on this platform) my intent.
