Finished Eiyuden Chronicle just now. I really enjoyed the game. I did have minor pet peeves with it (some of which were fixed with patches, I think), but none of that really ended up hampered my judgment.
The game does most things right. I would say the weakest parts of the game were:
Duel System -- seemed undercooked. Most of the time, you only have two options and there wasn't really that much feedback in it. When you have break available, it seemed to almost never make sense to not use it.
War System -- Most of the battles seemed pretty trivial. Out of all the Suikoden games I played, I think this might be the worst implementation of them. There didn't seem to be much strategy here.
Story -- It's very straightforward and pretty simple. It's not bad, but just kind of 'okay'. It didn't really invoke any emotion in me.
