  8. Our disabled son got a check from the US Treasury today. No explanation.

    E figured it out. It’s EITC money. The American Rescue Plan transiently lowered the eligibility age in 2021. So he could get EITC that year. We didn’t apply for him but the Treasury sent the money anyway.

    I would not be surprised if they want it back sometime. Taxes for working disabled are crazy.

    I wonder how many people are getting these. Unexpected stimulus bolus.
