Ein Ausfall bei #AWS legte vergangene Woche die smarten Betten von #EightSleep lahm.

Nutzer konnten weder Position noch Temperatur steuern. Manche mussten die Nacht sitzend oder schwitzend verbringen. Die Geräte waren ausschließlich cloudgebunden, ein #Offline-Modus fehlte bislang.

Nach massiver Kritik kündigt der Hersteller nun einen Ausfallmodus mit Bluetooth-Steuerung an.

EightSleep charges $200+ a year just to automate the mattress cooler I already bought. Without paying, it’s 100% manual. My fix? iPhone Shortcuts at preset times that remind me to turn it on/off. No fancy automation, but no $200 tax either. The subscription model is just ridiculous 🤑🤑🤑

Been 'beta testing’ the new Eight Sleep ‘Pod 4' cooling mattress pass. It is much better at cooling than version 3 and has a handy tap pad on the side to quickly adjust temperature. Keep an eye out for deals too. I was able to get a deep discount with Peter Attia's site.
