N901DC, McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30 prototype, in the manufacturers colours, doing a series of test/demonstration flights for some local airlines at Manchester Airport, 18th June 1993. None of these airlines placed orders for this type, and in fact one placed large orders for Airbus A320’s just a couple of weeks later, even though they already operated a fleet entirely made up of MD83’s.‘Throw Thursday 18th June 2026.
