@babumenos Difference in emphasis, yes, entailing different terminology. We begin same place: "challenge"-oriented are beholden to societal expectation.
Here, though, critique of colonialist perk-seeking (#perquisition) subverts vernacular appeal to a capitalist work-ethic. Not perfect soldiers so much as consummate locusts: a consuming swarm rather than a regimented army.
Why don't folk just do things? Without trying to "validate" them?

CW: compliancism vs ethicalism
Problem of #compliancism is that it is #RentierSociety mechanism of #EgoValue extraction, thus always directed by those with more kyriarchal power toward those with less.
Who will expel the maskless professors? The maskless administrators? The maskless board of directors? The maskless regulatory authorities?
Issue is one of ethics, thus an issue of society-as-whole. What happens in medical schools is but a microcosm, not a power vacuum.
