So yesterday I decided to see how a #NeuralDSP capture sounds, to see if it would be viable to just use the #NanoCortex for say fly dates.
I captured my main rhythm sound on the IRX a couple of times, adjusting the signal gain going into the NC, until the results were free of artifacts. Each capture sounded subtly different—not sure why—but in the end it is insanely good. (1/6)

This is it! 2026 board. Don't see myself swapping anything out. Analog signal never gets converted again post-wireless. Can be played ad-hoc, or with extremely specific programming. Don't know of any pedals that have the same combo of attributes—inspiring sounds, ease of use, audio fidelity, midi flexibility, genre flexibility.

Opened up my Muff Pi 2 to see what's inside. Rather pretty.
The board mounts via the pots and the switch. I didn't get a good look at the components, because I didn't want to remove the knobs and all to release it.

Are pretty much all modern modulation and delay pedals built around the FV-1 chip?
That seems like all websites being wordpress sites.Or all kit cars in the 70's being built over VW Beetles.

I thought it was the new Muff 2, but it's the delay I ordered a while ago to fill in for my Digitech PDS2020.
First thoughts:
It's not the same animal at all. The old pedal went to 2 seconds and the modulation went wider, for stupidly psychedelic dooown dooooown uup up upupupupuppppp sounds - and it had a repeat hold.
This has a max 1 second, tap tempo, whooshes great when you crank the time knob, and is more hi-fi (what a difference 40 years makes).

I figure it will have good resale value.Meanwhile, I heard about a new Crazy Tube Circuits dual pedal that's one side an Orange amp-in-a-box, and the other side "inspired by" a FranTone Peach Fuzz, which I think means "we're not paying her." I like Fran. I hope they pay her.

What classic fuzz does the Foxx Tone Machine resemble the most when it's in non-octave mode?
Is it based on an earlier fuzz circuit?
I have a WA Foxy Tone Box, a muff, and a fuzz face, and it's deffo not the same as they are... I think?
So, is it a Tone Bender with a few extra components?

Today at noon East Coast time until they're gone - probably about five minutes of unresponsive shopping cart later.

Latency should be a number in the product description.Converting audio into a stream of numbers, doing math on them, and converting them back to audio has to take time. Minimizing that on the algorithm level and the hardware level should be a priority.
On the other hand, you'll sell more pedals if you add eighty new kinds of flerb than if you only make it more efficient.

I watched a TPS espisode today about rotary cabinet pedals, and it got the sound in my head.
I remembered Greg Koch gets that kind of sound with a Jam chorus pedal, so I set my e/c/f pedal to do that. Fast, shallow modulation, short end of 500ms range, regen and mix at noon.

DigiTech is releasing an updated "Badder Monkey" pedal with a knob that sweeps between three different parallel distortion circuits.
It's a continous rotation knob with detentes and lugs at noon, 4, and 8 o'clock.
Where can I get a potentiometer like that? I don't know the correct term, so online search is hard. -

Old pedal day!
I just got this back from a repair shop. The guy replaced a couple transistors in the soft power switch circuit. Now I can turn it off. :)
It's still a decent echo/chorus/flanger/vibrato.
I bought both of these pedals new in 1985.

Been meaning to post about this for sometime now. Our bass player got one of these, and it absolutely kills. Perfect 80s synth bass sounds; super quick, accurate tracking. He has tried everything else, and this is the best thing he's ever had on his board.

Despite having one, and looking at diagrams on electrosmash, and watching TPS's recent video, I do not know what a phaser is or what it does.
Flange and chorus are simple: mix in modulated delay with optional feedback. Same delay for each frequency.
180 deg is inverted, no prob, but 90 deg out of phase would be a delay of 1/4 a WAVELENGTH, different for different frequencies. How does a parallel resistor and capacitor acting as a high/low pass filter do that??

Well, I made it through a week of everything 20% off at JHS Pedals without buying anything. Not even a Flight Delay at $50 off.
My 1/2 second PT2399 pedal with a Toe-N control on the time knob is enough for now
