  1. I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you feel overwhelmed by all the noise in education right now, just keep showing up for your students. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ“š True story: when Dr. John Sherrill became principal at Grapeland High School, it wasn't the campus breaking records or making headlines. It was a C-rated school. Same staff. Same students. The prevailing culture didn't expect much to change. There were days, weeks, and months when it felt like outside politics, shifting mandates, and the lingering effects of divisive debates would overshadow what mattered most: the kids. But here's what happened, Dr. Sherrill and his team kept things simple, built relationships, and focused relentlessly on student growth. They made FIVE positive calls home that first week of school, no matter how packed their schedules were. They acknowledged the small, quiet wins in the faculty meeting. They listened to student voices (yes, real Google Forms from real kids in real classrooms). And when the data told them they weren't making progress, they didn't give up. They kept looking for those low-hanging fruits and celebrated every bit of progress, no matter how small. And then? The momentum shifted. The snowball got rolling. For the first time EVER, Grapeland High School earned an A rating. Not with a magic formula; just with consistent, everyday dedication to seeing EVERY kid. So if you're struggling in your classroom, your campus, your district, or feeling the heat from all the "extra" outside your control: stay focused on your students. See them. Build that community. Find your learning network your people. (Shout out to my Harvard/Raise Your Hand Texas cohort and those priceless group chats ๐Ÿซถ) Keep going. You're not in this alone, and you're making a difference bigger than a rating or a test score. I'm cheering for you. ๐Ÿ‘ #SchoolCulture #EveryLearnerRises #StudentSuccess #KeepGoing #EducationLeadership

  2. Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a holiday. It is a reminder of sacrifice, courage, and commitment. We also recognize the military families, veterans, and educators who continue to serve their communities with strength and purpose every day. May we lead with gratitude. May we teach with compassion. May we never forget those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy. #MemorialDay #FlipboardEDU #EducationLeadership #K12Education #CoachJeffery #Leadership #Community #HonorAndRemember
