Spontaneously ended up down by the water this evening. Caught some rays, watched the ferries, some people watching, and relaxed until the sun set. Grateful.

Weather was decent, so I had a ride down the #interurban to Greenwood for coffee this afternoon. Lots of bikes out. Runners. Dogs getting walks and sniffs. Love to see it.
I dont think I ate enough today though and bonked hard a few miles from home. Struggled to finish and stumbled in the door then straight to the kitchen looking for anything edible to shove in my mouth.

I ran my first real timed race today, at the #edmondswa Brackett 5k. Finished in 24:44 and I am sooo pleased with this. I was just hoping to get under 27min! It turns out, having people constantly next to me really lights my competitive drive. I credit this 8 yr old who was cooking for knocking 30 seconds off my time as I committed at any cost to stay on his tail. He did beat me across the finish in the end though :).

Today celebrated a shared birthday over a nice Italian lunch with my daughter and her husband down in the #EdmondsWA bowl near the ferry. Had a bowl of Zuppa Toscana that knocked my socks off, wandered through the local open air market and sampled some of their wares.
A good day was had.

Well they are trying again. Edmonds is not a suburb in Europe which is what it’s beginning to look like, high-rises here are not welcome. The crime rate has gone up. the traffic is miserable, the parking is none existing. More housing in Edmonds is not welcome.
They don't want YOU to have housing, especially not near THEM.

But NIMBY-ers are quickly filling in the comments and calls, literally with phrases like "anti cars" and saying they need MORE parking lots, less housing.
