The end of an era. https://status.edg.io/ now lists "Platform Decommissioned". My heart goes out to those people who spent decades building and operating #Edgecast and #LimeLight and other services, systems, and companies that had been folded into #Edgio prior to its bankruptcy.

@GossiTheDog Akamai didn't buy any edgio datacenters or hardware or staff/services, and AFAIK has no control over when or what happens here --- that's all the edgio ops team. A huge #hugops should go out to the #edgio folks who are presumably working hard on their side to help with migrations and to keep the network and services running this far.

Symantec still haven't migrated away from Edgio CDN, which Akamai say is due to terminate in under two days. Lots of other orgs still using it. #edgio
