Love a birthday in Edinburgh - yesterday featured dinner with dear friends, gelato at Mary’s Milk Bar, and a fabulous #EdFringe show (The Quiet Earth Beneath, highly recommended).
Today is continuing on in much the same vibe - violet choc-chip and elderflower & raspberry are the latest excellent flavours. 😋

The festivals are on in #Edinburgh. The largest arts festival in the world. Back in 2002 I worked on the #EdFringe website. It was absolute crap. We were really just asked to make a few changes to last year's site. Each and every year it is *still* an absolutely crap website. For the largest arts festival in the world. It's so obvious how much better it could be.

Today I did my show to a lovely audience, and then ran across town to do a spot in front of 3 1/2 thousand people, where I was on after a spectacularly filthy Miriam Margolyes.
Some days at the fringe suck, this one did not. -

I took my niece and her friend on an underground ghost tour in the Old Town of Edinburgh today. It's led by Edinburgh City Tours who organise many tours of Edinburgh all year round. I am a bit of a feardie so was hoping that since this said it was suitable for children from five years and up it wouldn't be too scary!
