They're a pain in the ass to get paid by because you'll have to go through John Hopkins University payroll, but the folks doing the publishing are nice.

“The richness of Donnchadh Bàn’s language becomes a metaphor for the richness of nature... The poem is a song & the music itself becomes a metaphor for the co-existence of different forms of life”
—Meg Bateman introduces Ben Dorain: a conversation with a mountain, by Garry MacKenzie, (Irish Pages Press/Cló An Mhíl Bhuí, 2021)

Lidl have just retarmacked my local stores car park. I decided to honour this, with a wink to Joni Mitchell and a nudge to Phillip Larkin. I wrote a poem for my son.
'See the rain glisten and pool on mans petroleum product.
It lies like a black flag to our progress stretched flat across the earth.
See the remarked white line, disciplined and straight
controling unruly nature'.

Whispers freighted with odour swinging into the air,
Russet needles as censers swing to an altar, where
The angels’ songs are less divine
Than duo sung twixt breeze and pine.

Pop over to iambapoet.com if you like good contemporary #poetry. Each poet has three self-chosen poems with audio of them reading their work. A new wave of 15 poets comes every three months. #iambapoet is a beautiful site with #poems to match.
I have three recent #ecopoetry poems there. If there is a theme it is that we must open to the #healing powers of #Nature and understand our #Humanity in its context- which is all life on #planet-A #thereisnoplanetb https://t.co/jU947ItPdH -
Very happy to announce I have been accepted for wave 14 of iambapoet, part of a stellar cast #poetrybyme #poetry #ecopoetry
The poems will be up from 14 June meanwhile spend some time browsing the site: lots of great work plus for each poem you can hear a recoding of the poet reading their poems. A unique journal.
