This is a very good summary of the causes of the protest that occurred last month in Iran. Basically, every player is evil and a murderer: The Islam Republic, Obama, Biden, Trump, and Israel. The only real truth behind this story is that economic sanctions inflicted against a sovereign nation whose State persistently violates human rights is even more disrespectful of the human rights of the citizens of that country. Why? Because you're consolidating the power of the ruling regime.
"Although, presently, the protests have been forcibly contained once again, the political impasse the Islamic Republic has imposed on an increasingly restive and by now desperate society persists. Addressing this impasse requires a significant political change, of course, something the Islamic Republic adamantly refuses to even consider. Meanwhile, Trump’s crude posturing as Iran’s saviour and bombastic promises of “helping” the protesters has had no tangible effect, except playing into the regime’s hands and bolstering its narrative of tying the protests to foreign machinations. Israel, too, openly boasts of Mossad involvement in the protests, an allegation whose specific validity is hard to gauge but, ironically, is the linchpin of the regime’s official justification of its violence being a defensive strategy against armed foreign agents. It remains the daunting task of the Iranian people and their progressive international allies to figure out the basic contours of a viable roadmap out of the country’s horrible current impasse."

Sometimes, I have the suspicion that they are actually being racist, exhibiting an overly patriotic mindset in which they only want their country to dominate. They use "the decline of America" as justification for threatening other countries, employing tariffs against China as a means of control. They will use any mistake made by China to justify everything they want to do. They claimed that China implemented reciprocal tariffs, and then they used that as an excuse to increase the tariffs to 140%. I must believe that "Make America Great Again" may be a sign of one entity's maximalism. Meanwhile, China and the CCP have already told the world that they are there to prosper together, providing opportunities for other countries to develop. If they truly believe in freedom of speech, they should also listen to Chinese officials who state that "a trade war has no winner.

Imposed by President Eisenhower with the aim of overthrowing Fidel Castro’s revolutionary government, the #sanctions have been maintained and reinforced by successive #US administrations. They have extraterritorial features — meaning they apply beyond US borders and affect all countries around the world. For example, any foreign ship that docks at a Cuban port is banned from entering US ports for six months. The purpose of this legislation is to prevent #Cuba from developing international trade with the rest of the world.
