Amazon Basics Smart Dimmer Switch and Remote for Music and Routines

It's good for falling asleep to music as a basic physical remote control for volume, track skipping etc, without having to wake yourself up yelling commands or looking at a bright screen.

I do wish it came with a dedicated TPU soft case / cover to protect it from falling off the bed onto a hard floor.

Also when I initially set it up, I could setup *both* long press and single tap for a total of 8 commands.

It happened to fall on the hard floor so I had to reset it. And now I only get one option for each button. Anyone have ideas how to go about fixing this, thank you.

a few years back we had a little Echo dot device that ran Alexa :blobcatgiggle:

it was fun.....for 5 mins.

All i got it to do was play Simon & Garfunkel's Cecilia for me, as I was obsessed with that song at that time 😅

We have an Echo Dot near our TV - the wake word is set as "Echo" so it's not confused with the Echo Show in the kitchen. We were watching Lost today and one of the characters said, "Eko is dead".

Immediately, our Echo Dot said, "I am not dead".
