The #Eby #Austerity budget in #BC shows why the Federal #NDP and the Provincical NDP's need to separate and become truly independent entities.
We already here a constant stream of "but the NDP in BC does the same thing as the conservatives in Alberta" in regards to healthcare because both have mismanaged healthcare for decades... I'm now expecting to see "the NDP in BC supports austerity, why are you not supporting Carney implementing it too?".
When Federal and Provincial political parties share branding each gets painted with the brush of the other, even if they are independent in policy. While this can be beneficial when things are going good, it's a negative when things go bad. Thus if the Federal NDP wants to stand on it's own merits, and not be viewed by peoples opinions on happenings at the provincial level, it needs to both look and be independent.

B.C. Premier David #Eby releases plan to combat homelessness, poverty.
The plan "is getting cautious praise from some & scathing criticism from others."
"The plan came attached as a link to a housing announcement Sunday, where Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon said the province will be delivering 330 more homes for #homeless people in the #DTES by June. That announcement was made after several recent incidents of fires breaking out at tents on Hastings Street."
