#TIL that the Easy Star All-Stars released a dub version of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust in 2023. Going with their usual dub pun, it's entitled Ziggy Stardub;

The All-Stars are always fun, and like all the other albums they've covered, Stardust is a classic.

Easy Star All-Stars - Ziggy Stardub
As you might expect, this is a reggae/dub version of Ziggy Stardust, done by those very skilled Easy Star All-Stars.
Not as successful (IMO) as their OK Computer LP “Radiodread”, which is probably because those song structures lent themselves to this treatment incredibly readily, and these, less so.
Still fun.

#MusicMonday! What have YOU been listening to?
For everyone thinking I'm a metalhead by now: You ain't wrong! 😅
Regardless, this week was dominated by something way more chill: "Ziggy Stardub" by the #EasyStarAllStars, a full #dub / #reggae album #cover of "Ziggy Stardust". I've never been too much into #DavidBowie (don't tell my girlfriend!) – so I have no clue how faithful these covers are. But they sound nice, for sure! Favorite one:
