I’ve always admired the "human-first" philosophy of the legendary Vancouver-based Libranet Linux and Debian. Since the original Libranet Linux distro from 2003 is no longer with us, I wanted to create a more modern option for users who miss that classic Canadian "Easy Everything" experience.
I’m excited to share Libranet-Maple—a community-driven spiritual successor built for 2026! It’s not the original, but it’s a tribute designed to carry the torch of simplicity and speed into the Wayland era.More details to come, stay tuned for updates
