#Transformers #EarthSpark Nightshade arrived today!

I like how the knives store on the wings, although they could clip in more securely. Wings can pivot to an open or closed position in owl mode without extra hinges because they’re painted the same on both sides.

The robot arms were apparently designed for cartoon accuracy in robot mode, which means they don’t form a clean chest in owl mode. The plastic gaps inside the robot thighs are also very visible.

Overall, a good if imperfect figure.

Twitch is a great design with lovely bright colours, though I've already had to break out the nail polish to tighten the ball joints on the hips, as the tabs for the feet are far tighter than the joints... I may also need to tighten the thigh swivels and waist joint. That sort of floppiness seems to be happening a lot with recent Hasbro releases. Doesn't stop me enjoying Twitch though, as an all-round fun toy

Feels lightweight and hollow overall. Captures look of character well, but transformation into made-up drone feels lazy. Bump ratchets in elbows limit poseability. Multiple tabs on legs in drone mode are difficult to get locked together. I had to file down two tabs in her shoulders and one on her foot to get her transformed into drone mode securely.

Ratings: 4/5 accessories, 5/5 appearance, 3/5 transformation, 3/5 playability, 4/5 overall

The more I think about the #RiseOfTheBeasts trailer, the angrier I get.

There's no substance to it whatsoever. It's bland, flavourless, 15-year old popcorn.

We've just been gifted the most amazingly rich first season of a #Transformers cartoon show ever, #Earthspark, that does clever storytelling, brilliant writing and characterisation, jaw-dropping action sequences, humour...so the comparison to the movie's grey gruel paste is even more stark.

Transformers deserves better than this shit. 😡
