I’ve been saying Apple’s 2015 typeface San Francisco (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/39620/san-francisco) should have been called something else to avoid usurping the 1984 Susan Kare classic (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/31774/san-francisco-1984).
Like maybe “Cupertino”.
But it turns out that was already taken in 1984 by a bitmap copy of Motter Tektura (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/10214/motter-tektura)

Until about 1994, most Emigre fonts were sold on floppy disks. (Later, they were provided on CDs.) Orders for fonts were placed by phone or fax, and disks were sent out by FedEx or UPS.
