DoD has spent ~ $1.8B for ~ 10,000 Army AR combat goggles that will now sit in on the shelf.
The goggles produce headaches, nausea, and more than 80% of soldiers reported physical symptoms within three hours of wearing the device.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, soldiers wearing the devices had worse battlefield performance than the equipment it was meant to replace.
