I went to a concert in St Giles cathedral this evening. For reasons, it was actually part of the Art Festival. By a composer of never heard of, Raven Chacon: Voiceless Mass. Obscure and possibly unlistenable.
But the performers - the Scottish Ensemble - are always interesting, whatever one thinks of the piece.
Actually it was brilliant. It worked really well in the space. And whilst clearly avant garde, it was very listenable and rather moving.

Sorry but I've to #callout the #Harvard prof & #EAF to #factcheck the #research about #ecommerce iso making #falseclaims⬇️. Taobao & Tmall were already e-commerce leaders in early 2000s & PRC had over 200mio #online shoppers by 2012.

How can we transition steel and #cement?
Unfortunately, #EAF #steel plants go for a billion a pop for Mt production. Cement is cheaper, 250M... So cement overhauling production can happen piecemeal perhaps. Steel cannot.
Together, however, changing production is a megaproject, with huge knock-on effects on construction. And that's not happening without massive government help on the question.
But how many such megaprojects do we need, versus how many we can run? I don't know.
