Auch visuell ganz typisch Delisle, also sehr gelungen.

  3. Slate Magazine | It’s the Great Fear of Our Time. I’m Mathematically Sure It Won’t Happen. by Noah Giansiracusa

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

The piece argues that modern AI chatbots only create an illusion of consciousness, much like Eadweard Muybridge’s 19th‑century motion‑picture of a horse, which fooled viewers into seeing a living animal though it was merely a rapid succession of still photographs. By examining the mechanics of both the horse‑gait experiment—where cameras captured discrete frames of a trotting horse—and today’s neural‑network models, the author shows that AI systems are fundamentally huge mathematical formulas that translate inputs into outputs, doing nothing when idle and performing only discrete calculations when prompted. Consequently, despite their lifelike responses and occasional “autonomous” interactions on platforms like Moltbook, these systems lack self‑awareness, feeling, or genuine thought; they are simply static math computations strung together, offering an entertaining illusion rather than true consciousness.
