  1. E3D Online has updated its patent pledge to target commercial manufacturers, drawing a clear line between free use for hobbyists and licensed use for businesses. The Oxford-based company now backs the policy with dedicated IP management, infringement insurance, and board-level financial provisions for litigation. 3dprintingindustry.com/news/e3 #3Dprint #3Dprinting #Industrial #E3D

  2. This is the internal design of the future E3D high speed nozzles, called the FUGE! Unlike the CHT ones, there is no more channelling. Instead, the filament core is warmed up by flattening its path while maintaining the same surface area throughout. This is the application of an E3D patent from 2020. ⤵️

  3. E3D launched ObXiDian 500, a new wear resistant and non-stick technology for 3D printer nozzles that can withstand temperatures of up to 500°C. The fabrication process is impressive, read more about it on their blog!

  4. Such a tricky print from #E3D, it’s a clever one but wobbly if anything fails! #3DPrinting

  5. I'm kiinda regretting going for the E3D v6 extruder for my voron, so I might change to something else (with or without stealthburner). What are the cool kids oozing plastic through these days? Revo perhaps? Something else?

  6. Pfff. I have an with 2 toolheads, but the print quality wasn't top, and I don't have the time nor desire to carefully tune profiles. On the other hand, having 2 toolheads is awesome for printing e.g. PLA supports for PETG etc and works so much better than an or equivalent. And then there's the that I would want, but is just too expensive to justify. Bah

  8. Another 3d Printing fail. Seems that a PLA-printed bracket for an E3D volcano hotend is not sufficient when surrounding the heating block with a silicone insulator. Without the insulator, the bracket held the printhead well for many, many prints. With it, it melted over during the preheat. Sigh. Now to disassemble the hotend and bracket again to install a PETG-printed one.

  10. One of the most interesting 3D printing tech video I have seen in a while. Building an extruder isn't just about push force and weight, it is a lot more complex. To the point it is really difficult to make an in depth review. We can see how advanced E3D is in their R&D. Also, some good questions from Stefan and Tom.

  12. I tried changing the nozzle in my Revo for the first time. The hotend ran straight into the bed and bent the nozzle. I think the PrusaSlicer profile got screwed up when I changed the nozzle size.

  13. Now I have two E3D V6 hotends that I have no use for. I’m not sure what to do with them.

  14. The tool head with a Revo Micro installed of my E3D Tool Changer. It’s working great so far. Now I want to buy both a hardened and a high flow nozzle.

  15. I’m thinking of selling my E3D Tool Changer as I don’t have time to use it anymore. Though I don’t know where I could find anyone interested in it.

  16. What should print (or do) to show off these nozzles when they arrive?

I just ordered some @E3DOnline Diamond Nozzles for my @Prusa3D MK3S+.

    What filament should I print?

  17. Been a little while since I posted an update to the Stagetop 😊 modular gaming table.

I had to work on the printer and the #E3D Hemera Lite + Revo is a great combination. I was able to swap out the fan with a Noctua as the heatsink is quite cool now with the newer heatbreak of the Revo. It's nice and quiet.

Going to need to clean up, sand and stain soon. Very excited

  20. CW: Selling a 3D printer

Before I go to marktplaats, anyone in/around #Amsterdam interested in buying my #prusa #mk3s+? I’ve upgraded to a MK4. Why buy this one rather than directly from Prusa? 1) I built it from a kit so you know it’s good 2) I installed an #e3d #revo hotend so you can easily switch out your nozzle without a wrench. I’ve even updated the firmware to the current version which supports the revo. #3dprinting

  21. I was late to the Revo hotend game, but I ordered these hardened obxidian nozzles months ago and they finally arrived today! I'm excited to start playing around with carbon fiber and kevlar impregnated filaments. Any recommendations?

  22. For those that use #OctoPrint, how many of you would love to have a #plugin that allows you to configure several settings relative to your Nozzle and/or Hotends?

Now that swappable Nozzles and Hotends are a thing; it seems like it would be nice to adjust temp settings on the fly.
