Tiny #ereader arrived (xteink3). Put on some custom OS (CrossInk) and got some of my in progress books in there.
It's real small! Small enough that I can sacrifice 1/2 of my current #edc
notebook/wallet and make a little cutout to keep it in my pocket at all times.Again, I could just read these on my phone instead of a non-backlit tiny device, but I'm more frequently trying to keep my phone in another room and enjoy the extra nerd cred.

I’m intrigued by the Apple Fold, the same way I was intrigued by the Apple Cube. Yes, I’ll get it.
It would be 200% better if it were an eInk device. Otherwise, it’s just another iPhone/iPad.
I’d love to see what Apple could do with eInk tech for those of us who don’t need color or blinding lights.

Well, I've been working on an #eInk #cyberdeck recently, and it runs a #raspberrypi 3B+, which is (it turns out) way underpowered to run #logseq (something something #electron app).
Well! It turns out that someone has written a different version of #logseq which can work alongside logseq (on the same files) - it's called #Tine and it seems to have all the features I use on logseq (with the exception of sync, but that was always janky anyhow, and so I would probably use #syncthing instead either way), but actually runs on lower powered devices! (There's even an #android version which seems to run happily on my #Fairphone3 🎉)
And they were able to do this because #logseq is #OpenSource. This is delightful ❤️✨
(and yes I am subtooting #Obsidian, sorry not sorry)

I've released version 0.6.0 of the E-Ink Dashboard for Home Assistant. It is a custom component that renders e-ink dashboard images as PNG for Kindle, TRMNL, and OpenDisplay devices. No headless browser or other server component required running.
