Builders have given me plenty of excuses, but today I had to ride. As ever, I headed down & back up the Oaks (today via Euroka & Bennett's Ridge) 🤷🏼

It was glorious, & I even did a good deed, helping a woman extract her chain from where it had fallen & stuck between chainrings & frame.

October's boronias were out in force in some sections, smelling delightful, & a big bluetongue was enjoying the sun

None of this would be possible for me without an #EBike. It's hilly here, and my knees are well past their sell-by. 20 years ago, sure. But today, with a full-size kid, hills, and 90+ degree days in September? lol no way.

#EBikes make things possible.

Did my first test ride of what I think is going to be the safest route from kid's school to kid's after-school activities.

In a car, it takes us 35 minutes door-to-door.

By #EBike today, it took me 15 minutes.

Meine heutiger Lauf fuer den #GrandPrixdesFahrradfrachtens :

Aufgrund eines Materialfehlers ist die Deichsel unseres Projektes (kommt spaeter was dazu) abgebrochen und der Anhaenger musste zum #zwanzig° gebracht werden.

Besonders schwer war der Anhaenger nicht und zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte nur mein E-Bike eine Weber-Kupplung, daher musste ich nichtmal reintreten.

ABER: So gute 7m Gespannlaenge kamen zusammen.

Is a full national rail electric bike ban on the table?

Rail executives are lobbying for it, according to evidence Cycling Electric found.

Network Rail signage in Leeds, perhaps incorrectly, states a full #ebike ban is in effect on all properties, while building a new 400-space parking plot set to be equipped with chargers. Will they be built? Not if trade union pressure wins.

Ich habe gelernt, dass es bei den #Bafang Heckmotoren für mein Lastenrad unterschiedliche Anschlussvarianten gibt. 3-Pin, 6-Pin und 9-Pin Stecker. Also habe ich nachgeguckt, und festgestellt dass ich einen Motor mit 6-Pin Anschluss brauche. Beim Verkäufer noch mal nachgefragt. Ja es sind 6 Pin im Stecker.

Was mir niemand gesagt hat: es gibt bei 6-Pin auch noch verschiedene Pin-Pattern aus Dicken und dünnen Pins...

Gibt es Adapterkabel? Gibt es Stecker einzeln zum Umlöten? #pedelec #ebike

Did a 23.7 mile ride this morning, re-mapping an area for #MeshCore / #MeshMapper.

Now harnessing the power of a local star to recharge my #Lectric XP4 and the lawnmower battery.

I will definitely need a nap today, but first I need to be here and cognizant when the new fridge arrives.

#EBIKE REPORT: I'm in the home stretch -- since Spring of 2020, I have ridden the equivalent of 99% of the Earth's circumference. About 10 or 11 miles (16 - 17.6 km) a day, about 6 days a week, about 6.5 years.

If my current pace holds, it's only 3 weeks before I hit 100%!

Questo è solo l'ultimo di tanti studi che dimostrano sostanzialmente due cose:

• chi usa #ebike raggiunge comunque livelli di sforzo moderato. Magari non quanto una #bici muscolare, ma comunque molto meglio di uno stile di vita sedentario
• l'assistenza riduce le barriere all'accesso alla bici, quindi permette di pedalare, e quindi di fare movimento, anche a chi non è fisicamente in forma.

Aggiungo che permette di andare in bici un po' più distante e dove le salite sarebberonjna barriera anche per chi è in forma

* I mezzi modificati in cui non occorre pedalare per dare potenza al motore non sono bici assistite, ma mezzi illegali

een kenteken op een fiets is bovendien een privacy nachtmerrie (je ziet nu bij elke fiets waar de eignaar is, waar zij uitgaat, waar zij op bezoek is enzlvoort en via alle camera s overal waar je was, nogal een aantasting privacy) en een bureaucratische enorme kostenpost.
Wanneer je dit soort kosten en nadelen wilt veroorzaken moeten er ook voordelen zijn. En die zijn er nauwelijks natuurlijk. ebikes met een kenteken zijn een gotspe verzonnen door haters. Haters, want echte argumenten zijn er niet.

Meneer anti ebike is niet om te praten, wil gewoon ebikes moeilijker maken met welke argumenten dan ook
Maar het zal hem niet lukken, want heel Nederland is niet getikt en doorziet de oppervlakkige argumenten en snapt de enorme kosten.

er is onderzoek zat dat het #fietsgebruik bij forenzen toeneemt en het is superlogisch dat ebikes dat versterken.
Het is zeker mogelijk dat er minder spieren gebruikt worden in een deelgroep, maar daar tegenover staat dat nederlanders meer sporten
Het gebruik van ebikes versus olie gebruikende brommers is ook een belangrijke voordeel van de ebike. De ebike draagt zo bij aan schonere lucht in steden
