We've simultaneously held two views for a while
- Our body would be kinda hot if it was someone else's. There are some parts we really like.
- We don't like our body, especially (details omitted)
Yet somehow it only just dawned on us that we're pretty much describing the example of body dysmorphic disorder on Wikipedia.
Some of those things are part of gender dysphoria, such as facial and body hair. Others could be addressed with healthier habits. But to just desperately want to be something other than what we physically are—even when we think we're reasonably attractive in some ways—seems awfully telling. We should dig into that some more, probably with our therapist or psychiatrist.

I have a #face #waxing appointment today and have not done any #hair #removal since Friday afternoon.
It has been difficult not to break down and #pluck it all out as it causes me a certain amount of #dysmorphia.
However, I did notice that the amount and thickness of the hair growing in is minimal.
This makes me quite #happy as facial hair has been a battle since coming out. Looks like #estrogen is doing it’s job!
