Even though there's a night/day dynamics where zombie get extremely aggressive during the night time, I'm quite enjoying Dying Light.
Apart from a few missions that need to be completed by night, it is possible to play only during the day phase and almost entirely avoid encounters by doing parkour. In regards to this the parkour mechanics are great, reminds me a lot of Mirror Edge!
What I am not enjoying are fights in closed environments (required by missions), especially those with human raiders but eh, it's a good action game and I see myself finishing it, if things will remain the same.

After TLoU2 I started playing Dying Light.
I dunno what is going on with me and zombies lately - given that I can't stand horror games - but the fact you can pretty much avoid them completely in Dying Light by parkour is neat.
So far so good? 🤔

Which steam games have you played on Linux that work as well as on Windows (and which ones didn't)?For example, anyone playing #Skyrim? Is it working well for you? I tried it (the steam version) and it was way too slow with just normal (or even lower) graphical settings.
#Subnautica is working fine. #DyingLight seemed OK. #TombRaider4 works well (old, I know). #Left4Dead2 is fine but I haven't tested the multiplayer mode.
Trying to convince more friends to join the Linux wagon, but they like their games..

Upgrading to #fedora43 was painless, but now my #steam games CRAWL. #DyingLight can't even get a steady 30fps at 1080 with all settings set to minimums. Previously this would have been hundreds of frames per second. Booting into windows confirms it isn't a hardware issue and other Linux devices such as my #SteamDeck have no issues. Maybe this is my excuse to switch over to #bazzite on this desktop?
