Über die verschlüsselte Cloud aus Deutschland https://filen.io hatte ich ja vor einiger Zeit in einem Artikel berichtet:

Nun ist diese Cloud auch bei Duplicati aufgenommen, so dass man sehr einfach "doppelt verschlüsselte" Backups speichern kann:

Bei vergangenen BackupPartys haben wir plattformübergreifend (vor Jaaaaaaahren🧓 ) auf #Duplicati für regelmäßige Sicherungen gesetzt, waren damit aber wegen vieler kleinerer Macken nicht glücklich. Hat sich da was getan? Dass die einzig gepflegte Version 2 der Software auch als Beta markiert war, sorgte auch nicht für Grundvertrauen.

Für Komplettsicherungen haben wir damals auf #Redobackup und #Clonezilla gesetzt. Hier nutzen wir inzwischen das bewährte #Rescuezilla (quasi-Nachfolge von Redo).

@nimi Sowas haben wir früher Back-to-Back gemacht: Erst Backup-Party, dann Linux-Install-Party. Leider waren die Tools dafür damals nicht so schön ausentwickelt wie heute (damals #Duplicati und #RedoBackup). Es wird Hinweise und Empfehlungen dazu geben. Wie wir das beim nächsten Mal machen, schauen wir dann. 🙃 @korporal @Datenpunks

I am trying to backup the data directory of a #Minecraft #PaperMC #Server running as #Docker #Container, but accessing those files from #Duplicati running as Docker Container fails.

The more I read (Docker documentation, Github issues, Stackoverflow entries), the more I get confused.

Do you have any tips on what I should read?

Update: I think I found the solution for the issue. Still not an expert, but it works.

@tux Das Syncen der wichtigsten Bereiche aus dem Home-Ordner übernimmt aktuell #freefilesync - ggf. würde ich auf lange Sicht aber mit Skripten auf #rsync schwenken. 💾

Für versionierte Backups bin ich noch am Tüfteln... Leider werfen #backintime und vor allem #kup, das interne und elegant verankerte #backup tool von #kde, noch Fehler - Zweiteres würde mir am besten gefallen. 🥺

Daher laufen die Backups momentan über #duplicati - was m.M. auch ein geniales Tool ist! 💪
