The open-source KeeperFX engine is a reimplementation of the real-time classic Dungeon Keeper. A few days ago, Yannick 'Papiosaur' Buchy released a MorphOS port that requires at least MorphOS 3.19.
Separately, Steffen Häuser is also working on a port: He's targetting AmigaOS 4, AmigaOS 3, and AROS.

Wisst ihr was ich #DungeonKeeper damals wie heute hoch anrechne?
Die Möglichkeit einen bereits gewonnenen Level fortzuführen.
Ihr müsst wissen, geht an die Jüngeren, damals gehörte "freeplay", also nur so zum Spaß rumdaddeln, noch nicht zum Konzept. Dungeon Keeper hatte nicht mal einen Skirmish Mode. Da war es nach bestandenem Level immer eine kleine Wohltat zu verschnaufen und den Kreaturen in den eigenen Gemäuern beim wuseln & hochleveln zuzuschauen, hier und da noch ein paar Fallen zu platzieren, geheime Objekte zu bergen, etc.Beinahe 30 Jahre später noch immer ein großes Lob an #Bullfrog.

I convinced myself to keep playing horror games. Among the arguments used were things like: it’s interesting to delve into what horror is. Is it horror or is it dark fantasy? What about something like #DungeonKeeper, to name something I (re)played before? It’s almost a comedy. What if horror is, say, colonization or capitalism or Nazis?
And there are still TOO MANY games to choose from…

Dungeon Keeper is one of my all time favourite games. It was the late 90s and developer Bullfrog were at the height of their powers, producing a deep RTS filled with humour and character.
I'm listening to the #dosgameclub podcast on the game and, despite finishing DK back in the day, I'm learning a lot. I have the GOG version so I think I'll have another play soon.

I played #KeeperRL over the weekend. v1.0 was released just the other day and I enjoy myself some #DwarfFortress and I have fond memories of #DungeonKeeper in my youth :)
But dear heavens this game doesn't pull any punches!
After a 4+ hour run that went really well, my main character (the Keeper) finally got a mount to ride into battle and I was so thrilled I steered him into elven crossbow fire and lost the run.
It's very well-made, can recommend. But be patient :)
