Having started in on Dune Messiah I’m fairly certain I did read it before. It’s likely Children of Dune that I couldn’t get far in during middle school.
So far it’s a good sequel to Dune. In fact, it really feels more like a 3rd part to the original book.

Regardless of how much money WB execs will make, I want to see Dune: Messiah in cinema in 2028 by the hand of Villeneuve. For that, Dune 2 has to be a success.

We saw Dune II last night and I have thoughts and opinions but I recommend anyone should see it that feels either enthusiastic or worried about the film.
A non spoiler is that it's made in the belief that there will be a Dune Messiah film, so the worst I might say is that it is incomplete. But I have other thoughts, at least I can now watch Danika's review and compare those thoughts.

Had a chance to catch #Dune2 before heading off to #GAMA and it was great. Certainly some things I missed (characters, scenes, even ideas) but not everything works in that translation, sadly. I hope it motivates more people to read - and talk about - the books.
The big change to Chani was great, I think, giving a different voice to a lot of the self-criticisms Paul has throughout the books. It sets up the inevitable in #DuneMessiah quite well, too. Can’t wait.

#Dunepart2 is an absolute blast and a great ending!
It is almost too much to take-in in one sitting. It is also an extremely weird film and I love that! Not many blockbusters get to get this artistic.
I want to watch it again and I want a #PhysicalMedia release of both parts with the IMAX sections and a huge making - of! Also let's go part #DuneMessiah! 😀
