I separated a #DumpsterDive yoghurt into liquid and solid. The solid is going next to the dal as a dip and the liquid is becoming a #brine for some cauliflower, mixed with some #kimchijuice for a weird little #fermentation

Tonight I'm cooking 3,5 kg of Osso Buco, and that is just the meat part! Dutch oven in the oven, big pot on the stove - it's a meat Bonanza! Most of my house mates are Vegetarian, so I'm inviting the neighbours over to come and help with the eating. I had no wine, so the brine is from, Aqua faba, lactoferments and the leftover vinegar brine from some pickled cucumbers. #yummy

Well, here is my dumpster-find Craftsman sander after about 15-20 minutes of very quick and superficial clean up. It's working fine now, and I adjusted the belt. There is still more cleaning to do, and lots of exposed metal would benefit from a dunk in Evap-o-rust or other corrosion cleanup. But it's working fine. I'll visit the hardware store and pick up a new sanding belt and some disks. Then I'll square everything up, and actually try it out!

Biggest dumpster find I've had in a LONG time. Went to the Habitat Store today, and didn't find anything. But drove through their alley and found this sitting in some junk by the dumpster. It was rusty, and I knew it didn't work if they were throwing it, but these things are simple, and I thought "I might be able to fix it." Plugged it in and sure enough, the motor is turning a bit and stalling, meaning SOMETHING is stuck. 99% sure whatever it is, I can fix. Yay!
