Negri Nepote Native Grasslands Birdwalk
On a warm September morning, I joined the Negri Nepote Native Grasslands Birdwalk, led by Chris and Paula Williams from New Jersey Audubon. The weather was pleasant, with soft sunlight warming the grasslands and a light breeze signalling the approach of fall. As we walked, Big Bluestem surrounded us, and sections of the grassland were filled with Early Goldenrod and Tickseed Sunflower, creating a sea of yellow.
