CW: Due South S1E11 "You Must Remember This"
On most Mondays, I live toot an episode of a TV show at 1PM EDT (UTC-4). Of this episode, the fan wiki says in part:
A beautiful, mysterious woman saves Detective Vecchio's life after a traffic accident.
Due South stars a Mountie, Benton Fraser, who came to Chicago on the hunt for information about his father's killer. He and his partner, a largely amoral Chicago cop (though I repeat myself) go on various missions, usually driven not by the law but by Fraser's idiosyncratic way of viewing the world.
Due South is often seen as either a comedy or as a police procedural. It features elements of both but it's largely a drama driven by a man who has an almost Tohru Honda approach to life.
Join me here in roughly an hour and 25 minutes!

I am currently in my truck and Tressie McMillan Cottom is on #duesouth on #wunc right now and if you can - turn there and tune in ( Or go back later and listen, i am going to have to )
As always with Dr. McMillan Cottom, your life will be better for it if you do.
[edit: I was writing fast enough at the time that I used her first name and honestly have no idea what her preference is. We are both southern and I can probably do that and she'd be alright with it, but she deserves the honorific]

CW: Due South S1E09 "A Cop, a Mountie, and a Baby"
On most Mondays, I watch an episode of a TV show. Today's episode comes from Due South. Ostensibly a police procedural, Due South follows the adventures of RCMP Constable Benton Fraser as he tries to solve the mystery of his father's murder with the begrudging assistance of his Chicago PD friend, Ray Vecchio. Paul Gross plays Benton Fraser straight but his unique perspective and attitudes lead Fraser to a style of "policing" that's not only at odds with Chicago but also at odds with real policing in Canada.
Due South is often seen as a comedy and that's certainly not unfair. Of this episode, The Movie DB says:Fraser convinces Ray to let him track down an abandoned baby's real parents rather than automatically turn the infant over to CPS.
Live Toot will happen in about 1 hour and 19 minutes.

I’m watching the Due South pilot for the second time ever. When talking about Fraser’s wolf Deifenbaker…
“Two years ago, he jumped off an ice flow in the Prince Rupert sound and pulled me out. And his eardrums burst from the cold.”
“Really? I didn’t know wolves saved lives.“
“Well he doesn’t always.. I mean, he’ll save you if he sees you.”I love how Paul Gross and David Marciano deliver a joke. #Canadiana #90sTV #DueSouth
