Imagine if we could do half the things with the Liffey that they do in other cities.
It’s a lifeline that runs through our home, but it can be a real amenity too. It was great to get out kayaking to film on the Liffey over the weekend.
Dublin has brilliant summers, it would be great to spend them enjoying our river. A big part of that will involve cleaning it up, and keeping it looked after, something I will fight for.

It’s about time these compactors have come to the north side. Everyone is fed up with having to walk over plastic bags in the city centre, or seeing seagulls and pests tearing them apart to get food and pulling the rush out all over the place.
It comes up so often on the doors so I’m happy to say we finally have the solution in place.

It’s National Voter Registration Day! If you want to have your voice heard, elections are one of the best times to do it, and there are two coming up in a few weeks if you live in Dublin Central or Galway West. If you’ve recently turned 18, became a citizen, or moved, you can register or change your address at voter.ie or checktheregister.ie. Make sure to do it before May 5th if you want to vote in the bye-elections!

I was delighted to be outside Leinster House yesterday supporting Malcolm and his cross-party colleagues bill to fund wildlife rescuers. I was even happier to see it pass in the Seanad!
Wildlife rescues do valuable work protecting our wildlife from pollution and habitat loss, and most of it is done voluntarily and with a heavy reliance on donations. Their work deserves proper funding to make sure we don’t lose it.

The government needs to get serious about tackling illegal Airbnbs. Some landlords have over 200 listings on the platform in Dublin that could be homes. We need to create a register and ensure that only those who have registered can list their properties. This legislation is ready to go and the government is sitting on it, the registration system is also ready. It’s disgraceful how many homes could be made available if they would just act.

An absolutely packed week this week! We had a protest, postering, two hustings, art exhibitions, learning festivals, meetings, and an endless amount of canvassing! That sun was a real help in getting through the week and bringing positive vibes!
