War über einen längeren Zeitraum konstant gleich beschissen. In umgekehrter Richtung war es bei Transfers ähnlich.

Tja, was hat geholfen? MTU auf 1300 setzen (war auf 1420 gesetzt). Immer dasselbe, ey! 😵‍💫 Hatten wir übrigens auch so mit #OpenVPN-Verbindungen auf der Arbeit von Dual-Stack-Lite-Anschlüssen wegen Home-Office. Aber da musste auch erst mal drauf kommen... denke vernünftiges Erreichbarkeit via #IPv6 hätte auch geholfen.

Mal eine Frage bei der ich ein bisschen Fedipower braucht, also bitte boosten wenn es euch nichts ausmacht.

Wie sieht das bei den einzelnen Glasfaser Providern Telekom, Vodafone und O2 aus? Habe ich bei irgendeinem davon noch die Chance Dual Stack zu bekommen? Also eine echte externe IPv4 und IPv6 Adresse?

Das ich die bei Vodafone (ehemals Unitymedia) habe habe ich nur einem Glücklichen Zufall vor ein paar Jahren zu verdanken.

Wäre super wenn Ihr mir da mal eure Erfahrungen posten könntet.

#NetCologne hat mir per E-Mail zugesagt, dass ich bei Umstellung auf #Glasfaser auf jeden Fall wieder in den Genuss eines #DualStack-Anschlusses IPv4/IPv6 kommen werde.

Das würde mich sehr freuen, aber nach den bisherigen Verzögerungen beim Ausbau (ohne Kommunikation) bin ich da etwas vorsichtig mit Euphorie.

Hoy la norma es el Dual Stack: ambos protocolos conviviendo en el mismo cable. Sin embargo, no puedes entender IPv6 si no dominas las bases de IPv4.
En redes, el futuro no es elegir uno, sino ser bilingüe. IPv4 sigue vivo, pero IPv6 es el camino obligatorio.

Telefonisch bei Vodafone echtes Dualstack beantragt. Das ging gerade an der Telefonhotline (ja, am Samstagnachmittag!) viel zu einfach und zu schnell, da muss noch ein Haken sein 🧐 Nur wenige Minuten Wartezeit, keine Erklärung notwendig, wird einfach so gemacht.

Kaum aufgelegt, schon startete das Modem neu und bietet jetzt die begehrten Optionen für den Bridge Modus 🤯

Das passt gerade nicht so richtig zu den sonstigen Erfahrungen in Sachen Kundendienst mit dem Laden...

На связи Борис Литвиненко из команды NOCDEV в Yandex Infrastructure — наша группа занимается автоматизацией сетей всего Яндекса. В прошлом году я уже рассказал о том, как и почему наши сетевые сервисы живут на отдельном железе с развёрнутым k8s‑кластером, избегая кольцевых зависимостей с остальной инфраструктурой компании. Среди прочего на тот момент мы использовали Calico VXLAN — с нашим разнообразным железом нам был нужен overlay, а Cilium тогда не умел работать с IPv6 для VXLAN. Однако всё меняется. В 2025 году попытка включить Calico eBPF в нашем K8s‑кластере вылилась в запуск Cilium, в новом релизе которого как раз добавили поддержку IPv6 underlay для VXLAN. Поэтому сегодня я расскажу, как мы вместе с Кириллом Глушенковым @kglushen протестировали новый Cilium 1.18 — а заодно перешли с самописных salt‑рецептов для kubeadm на kubespray, столкнулись с не такими уж простыми особенностями dualstack, а ещё немного повайбкодили. Под катом — все наши приключения с нелинейным сюжетом.

Thanks to #dualstack I can't reach my homeserver via IPv4 anymore and neither the mobile nor the WiFi network here seem to provide IPv6, so I can't check why my proxy is down.

Anyone know why opening #IPv6 ports on #GoogleWifi might be failing for me? I have IPv6 service from my ISP (sonic.net - they're awesome!) and have a web server set up on my #RaspberryPi.

Requests from outside my network sent to the pi's IPv6 GUA keep failing, even though I have ports 80 and 443 open for the pi in the "Port Management" section of the google home app. Requests made to that same IPv6 GUA work fine within my network.

(I also have IPv4 port forwarding set up on that same page, and that seems to work fine to forward requests made to my router's external IPv4 address to the pi, so I could simply not set up an AAAA record and move forward with only IPv4 access to my server, but I'd prefer having a working dual-stack setup!)

How to break #macos #networking? Very easy: setup a #dualstack network (#IPv6 & #legacyIP), do not include a #DNS server in the #DHCP announcement. Even though the mac has full network/Internet connectivity, it will claim it doesn't. #Linux works fine in that environment, in case you are wondering. #apple #fail

@Toasterson I'd recommend taking a look at #pfSense / #OPNsense for that task.

I've done Tunneling #IPv6 on #IPv4only WAN networks and had to deal with #CGNAT - #IPv4 + IPv6 and having to implement #DualStack on #WAN-side.
