In one week our paid newsletter will be released, and unless we get some questions in the next few days what I have written and ready to go is an in-depth guide to our dryland composting method!
I've alluded to or mentioned in passing composting several times in posts and articles, but this is the first time I'm really getting into details, and if you're someone living through aridity or concerned about water use or desertification, I'd definitely look into it. There are also several more potential use-cases for this technique, including safe humanure composting in a variety of ecosystems and situations which, let's be honest, you're terrified to have that conversation, but shipping your sh*t away in CLEAN water is not really a viable long-term waste solution for a plethora of reasons. And while there are wonderful village-scale recommendations for sustainable sewage in resources like Mollison's "Designer's Manual", most of us aren't in situations where we have the resources to design village-scale infrastructure. So anyway, the point is, it would be really wonderful if you feel like supporting us and joining at the paid tier for $5 a month (that's literally nothing for many of y'all!) and in turn learn how to do some really cool composting magic!

We had the morning free, so we swung down to Lake Byllesby for the Twin City Dog Powered Sports dryland run and pull. We've not actually been to such a competition and wanted to see how things went. It was fun!
We were there for the end of the bikejor competition and the start of the scooter races. And we picked up a new split lead, since our old one is starting to fray apart.
While we tend to be very independent and prefer to get out with our huskies when we have time to do what we want, this is something we could definitely make time to participate in, in the future.
Especially if we get Tonttu to settle down a bit more around other people and dogs.

We had the morning free, so we swung down to Lake Byllesby for the Twin City Dog Powered Sports dryland run and pull. We've not actually been to such a competition and wanted to see how things went. It was fun!
We were there for the end of the bikejor competition and the start of the scooter races. And we picked up a new split lead, since our old one is starting to fray apart.
