  1. It's October, which means it's almost #Thanksgiving here in #Canada. [1]

    One of the traditional meals at Thanksgiving here is turkey. And I thought of that because I roasted a chicken this week. More specifically, I thought about how magical it is that many #chefs and #cooks and plain old folx can carve a #chicken or #turkey and have it come out as beautiful, even slices of white #meat, and lovely whole #drumsticks or wings, or what-have-you.

    Because when I carve a bird, it looks like I did it with a #chainsaw. Or possibly a #lawnmower.

    [1] Yes, it's ~6 weeks earlier than USA Thanksgiving. For much of Canada, the only harvest we could be grateful for in #November is #snow.
