With the completion of the Drum Corps International World Championships on August 10, the 2024 North American drum corps season has come to a close. While it is earlier than we are used to now that all-age ends on the same day as junior corps, the season was a significant success for the activity. Congratulations to the champions of all DCI classes:
- DCI All-Age Class A – Govenaires (Video)
- DCI All-Age Open Class – Cincinnati Tradition (Video)
- DCI All-Age World Class – Reading Buccaneers (Video)
- DCI Open Class – Spartans (Video)
- DCI World Class – Bluecoats (Video)
I didn’t get to as many shows this summer as I usually do, but I was able to get some good performance photos and write up my coverage at the shows I was at. Hopefully, next season’s schedule will line up better with my own.
