There was a shortage of isosorbide mononitrate in 2013 because workers in the factory in Wales were suffering (it's essentially nitro glycerin in manufacture) poisoning and the factory was closed for deep cleaning.
It's the commonest stuff for controlling angina (relaxing arteries).
So that's why I was prescribed 60mg slow release to be taken @ 30mg a day, snap it in half.
Now the 60mg is out of stock and has been for over a month, alternatives are not easy.
