The one man who should never attempt an explanation of a poem is its author. If the poem can be improved by the author’s explanations it never should have been published, and if the poem cannot be improved by its author’s explanations the explanations are scarcely worth reading.

They drop lots of bark, branches and leaves, all of which contain plant growth-inhibitors. #EucalyptusOil being the most widely know.

This reduces both competition and unfavourable soil changes.

I saw the word #Dross being applied to this dropped material. But with gbbgle having stuffed the net can't find the site.
